As its initiative and control bodies, the council sets up committees. The committees present their standpoints and proposal to the council and are responsible to the council. The committee chairman is always a Town Council member who is elected by the town council as well as other committee members. The committees meet according to requirements. The Financial Committee and Control Committee are always set up by the Town Council. The Financial Committee controls economical management with the property and finances of the town and fulfils other tasks given by the council. The Control Committee controls fulfilment of resolutions of the council and board, observance of legal regulations by other committees and the municipal authority in the field of independent competence, and fulfils other tasks given by the Town Council.
